FAQ

What charity do you donate to?

I donate $1 from every bracelet to a charity called Safe Steps. They are a domestic violence charity based here in VIC, Australia. They provide emergency accommodation, resources, and basic needs to women escaping their abusers. If you'd like to read more about them, you can click here.

I post proof of donation every month on my instagram @freespiritedcrystals

How do I order a custom bracelet?

You can order a custom bracelet by going to the menu, clicking "Shop Bracelets", then clicking "Create your own Custom Bracelet". Tick the checkboxes for what crystal beads you'd like, choose to add a charm and/or chains, and if you have any special requests for the design, you can write those in the box provided! If you have any inspo photos, you can send me them on instagram within 24 hours of your purchase with your order number!

What metals do you use in your bracelets?

Currently, all metals including spacer beads, charms, and chains are silver- or gold-plated brass. Hopefully once I gain more traction I can upgrade to stainless steel, as it's more sensitive skin friendly!

How long does shipping take?

Shipping will take between 2-5 business days anywhere in Australia! Please keep in mind that this does not include processing time. I need time to be able to design, make, and pack your bracelet! Longest processing time will be 10 days depending on how busy I am. You can always send me a message on instagram @freespiritedcrystals if you'd like an update.

Are your crystal beads ethically sourced?

Transparency is super important to me, so I'll answer this question as best I can. The term "ethically sourced" is not a regulated term in the crystal industry. Anyone can claim that their crystals are "ethically sourced" with absolutely no evidence to back that statement. A lot of crystals that you know, and love are the result of child labor, unsafe mining practices, or wage theft. That being said, I do not know the exact supply chain of my beads. It would be borderline impossible to, given I have to buy many types of crystals in large quantities. I do, however, avoid buying or selling any conflict minerals. For example: most of the world's lapis lazuli is mined in Afghanistan, where the Taliban holds power. Lapis lazuli is the Taliban's second largest profiting industry, after opium. Women and girls in Afghanistan are having their human rights being taken away under the Taliban's power. I'd highly suggest doing some research into this. So, no. I wouldn't consider my beads to be "ethically sourced", as that means something different to everyone, but I do avoid crystals and minerals I know come from places using unethical practices.

You don't ship to my country, how can I order?

International shipping is a bit more complicated to price, as each country is different. I don't want to charge people more for shipping than I have to, so it's not fair to charge the maximum for everyone. If you'd like a shipping quote, please message me directly with your full address and country, and I'll try and find a good price for you! Then if you're happy with the price, I'll add your country to my shop settings and you should be able to checkout as normal!

Will my bracelet fit me?

My bracelets are all created according to my own wrist size which measures 18cm. If you have a bigger/smaller wrist size and want to make sure your bracelets fits you well, please message me on instagram (@freespiritedcrystals) so I can make yours customised to you!

About Me!

Hi lovelies! My name is Cheree and I'm the owner of Free Spirited Crystals. I make super cute bracelets out of high-quality crystal beads! All of the beads I use are A grade or above, we do NOT skip out on quality over here!

I'd like to share with you a little bit of my story, and why I started Free Spirited in the first place. In 2010, my mum was murdered by my father. That one vicious act made my whole life spiral out of control. Since then, I have been abused by other family members, I've been homeless more times than I can count, and my mental health has rapidly declined.

After my last ordeal with being homeless just this year in 2025, I decided to start collecting crystals. I don't know why, or how, but it made me feel better. I liked having pretty rocks to look at, and physical reminders that I can push through all the trauma I have experienced.

As domestic violence is an issue that hits very close to home for me, I have decided to donate $1 per bracelet to a charity called Safe Steps. They are based in VIC, Australia, and provide help to women who are escaping their abusers. I know it doesn't seem like much, but hopefully when my store gains more traction it'll add up over time. I'd love to be able to donate more per order, but that will have to wait for the future.

Sustainability is also super important to me. That's why I use only 100% reusable or recyclable packaging (with the exception of shipping labels). From our boxes, tissue paper, hex wrap, and even our tape, all of it can be thrown into your curbside recycle bin. Way too much waste already ends up in landfill each year, and I don't want my business contributing to that.

Anyways, if you've read this far, thank you. I hope you like my handmade products, and hopefully really soon I can expand my business to selling different types of crystals as well. Thank you for supporting me and my business.

All my love,

Cheree xx
